Just an update, but I'm seeing some Google traffic and am still on page one. But not a lot of clicking or other activity as yet. Need to have my 10-year-old friend (who turns 11 soon, acck!!) give me some ideas for polls to include. Maybe that will up the clicking and activity. Also planning to start a lens for the room decor. Getting a lot of hits from those searches.

It's the 'fresh lens' effect. New info may well do well, or even very well, in google for the first week or so.

Only if users really like it or you get appropriate and enough links will it last. Not getting click throughs on that high rating isn't a good sign though. Try and see the intro from the point of view of total newby's to squidoo and your lens - does it still look appropriate?

Of course no one really knows what 'appropriate and enough links' really means, so I'll just pray for you to keep it up there :)
