Brick WallWow. I’ve hit a wall. I’ve been doing keyword research on my WIP lenses and have decided not to proceed with some of them. Done the same thing with most of my current lenses and am making hard choices about where to put my time.

So now, I’m kind of frozen as to what to do next. I’d like to get to 100 lenses by the end of the month so I can get into the 100 Club. But I also don’t want to jump on some of the good niches I’ve found because I’d like to use them for the 30-day challenge. So just not sure what to do next.

Still looking for more great stuff to add to my Texas group. There are a lot of holes if anyone has some interest in writing about Texas history, music and towns other than Dallas and Austin. I’d like to get as much good stuff into the group as possible before I start a real promotion push.

Book Bindings: Review of The Mysterious Benedict Society. Against all keyword research, will be doing a SquidLit on this one. I enjoyed it and just enjoy doing lenses on kids books. They like to come to them, but they can’t/don’t buy stuff. Oh well.

Book Bindings: Review of Women Who Make the World Worse

Hooray!! Google has picked my novelty cycling jerseys lens back up. Good timing as it seems to have dropped the other one now. Just can’t win. :-) This was making money within like a day of my creating it. Hoping that continues. People who get on there click out at least.

Kung Fu Panda was number one at the box office and my lens is now #1 in Movies & TV!!! I really didn’t think that was possible after Indy was unable to make it that far. Yeah!! I know it won’t last, but I’m excited about it anyway. :-)

This lens has hit the holy trinity - traffic is up to 2300 for the week, I’m getting comments on the review duel and people are buying stuff. You really need the three (traffic, reader participation and sales) to take over those top spots. Traffic has been a godsend for my KFP birthday party lens. It’s not showing up on Google at all, but it gets good traffic from the movie lens.

Or any other social bookmarking as it relates to blogs as opposed to lenses.

Do you only post your main site or do you make a point to post every single post you make in your blog? Since Technorati pings your blog, would you need to? I can see Digging every post (although I rarely remember to, but what about Stumble? Others? Just not sure what’s the best/correct way to approach these things.

Kung Fu Panda passes 1,000 visits for the week! Tomorrow’s the big day, so I should enjoy it while I can. On a side note, my hair donation site has moved up to get 1,300 for the past week. Wow! Never thought in a million years I’d see those kinds of numbers on any of my lenses.

My first real MonkeyBrain

June 3rd, 2008

I’m a little slow on this one. Couldn’t think of anything worth starting a fight about for a long time. Then I did a lame one on a totally over-done topic, but it gave me a feel for the format. I wanted to do one yelling at people about driving the wrong way down the rows in a parking lot. Can’t figure out how to do it, though, so it’s on the back burner. But here’s a lovely topic certain to ruffle feathers and start a fight or two. Not All People Are Created Equal. Come beat me up if you feel like it. I can take it.

Great flight. Huge list of things I’d like to get done for my Squidoo stuff and an afternoon to kill between events. Trying to get some of them knocked out. Course, I suppose I should actually be working. Hmmm. :-)
